When the circus was coming to town

She was swimming so sweet in the sea
I was sat in the sand with the sun on my face
All the world seemed so beauty to me

Though the circus is back in my town
I saw her walk away as I laid on the sand
I saw her dissapear in that crowd

They said she was a mermaid
And she had to go back to the sea
What I think or feel I can´t remember
They said she´d never been so free

Now I know that summer is over
And the sky´s getting dark by the clouds
Can´t forget the times when she was closer
Everybody felt easy all around

Now I guess it´s all over
